Do I need a PayPal account to order?

No. You can simply add your credit card information via our secured payment provided by Stripe. Alternatively, you can select PayPal and checkout as a PayPal guest using the option below their sign in called “Pay with Debit or Credit Card”.
Where do I access my downloads?

You will receive the following emails from Film Composite, usually within a minute or so after purchase: Download links and receipt. If you haven’t received any emails, double check to make sure that your order was successful. If you still haven’t received links, reach out to us and we’d be happy to assist.
I purchased and my zip file is empty. What happened?

Depending on the product you purchased, Film Composite zip files can be very large. Sometimes a browser can corrupt large zips during the download process. If your download finished and the unarchived folder is empty, it means it’s corrupted. Try downloading the zip again. If you need more than 10 download tries, reach out to us and we’d be happy to issue you additional download attempts.
Can I use Film Composite products with Final Cut Pro, Resolve, or similar?

Film Composite provides video assets that can be composited with your footage using a built-in functionality within Premiere called “Blend Modes”. While Final Cut Pro and Resolve both have blend mode functionality, our video tutorials only cover Premiere and we only provide technical support for Premiere at this time.
With that said, Film Composite products are incredibly easy to use. If you feel confident in how to use blend modes in your NLE of choice, Film Composite should work in both Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve. Our recommendation is to download a video asset from our free library and test it out before purchase.
Can I use Film Composite products on commercial projects?

Yes! If you’re a professional video editor, we encourage you to use Film Composite in as many commercial projects as you like.

Can I use Film Composite products in templates?

No, Film Composite files cannot be redistributed, shared, or bundled with other digital goods, apps, software, etc. Film Composite products can be used for the production and edit of commercial projects, but cannot be used in a capacity that would directly compete with Film Composite.

My computer won't recognize Film Composite files.

Film Composite assets use ProRes 422 and ProRes HQ codec. If you’re on Windows, be sure you have Apple Quicktime Player installed or K-Lite Codec Pack. Both can be downloaded and installed for free.
I want everything. Does The Collection include everything?

Yes it does! The Collection includes all of our other products: A502 Film Stock, Cinema Film Grain, and Retro Film Damage.
If you want everything Film Composite has to offer, The Collection is a great buy. You’ll save over 30% compared to purchasing Cinema Film Grain and Retro Film Damage separately. Plus you’ll get additional exclusive assets like film LUTs, transitions, and film burns.

Film Composite products are intended for people who freelance, work in film, or just wanna create for fun. You can use Film Composite products to enhance legitimate paid work - ie: working on a paid video project for a client or your company.
You cannot incorporate Film Composite products in services or products that you intend to sell on-demand (like Fiverr or AE Templates) and obviously you cannot redistribute any portion of the original project(s). Put plainly: if you're a creator using it for legitimate creative work, there are virtually no restrictions - use it for videos online, in commercials, theatrical, worldwide, and in as many projects as you want.

END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT:

Under this Software License Agreement (the "Agreement"), Film Composite (the "Vender") grants to the licensee ("you") a non-exclusive and non-transferable license (the "License") to use Film Composite products (the "Product"):

  1. "Product" includes the project files, programs, or media, and any related printed, electronic and online documentation that may accompany the product. This includes both free and paid products provided by Film Composite.
  2. "End Product" includes the rendered representation of the Product in video, image, or audio form. It does not include the original project files, video files, images, audio, or documentation included in the Product. It does not include rendered representations for the purpose of re-using the product or bypassing Film Composite's product offering.
  3. Title, copyright, intellectual property rights and distribution rights of the Product remain exclusively with the Vendor. Intellectual property rights include the look and feel of the Product. This Agreement constitutes a license for use only and is not in any way a transfer of ownership rights to the Product.

WHAT THIS LICENSE GRANTS THE USER:

  1. The Product may be loaded onto no more than one computer. A single copy may be made for backup purposes only.
  2. You may create unlimited End Products for clients, and you can transfer that single End Product to your client for a fee. This license is then automatically transferred to your client. See Subsection 2 for what defines an "End Product".
  3. You or your client may use the End Product for world-wide distribution including web, television, theatrical release, and radio broadcast. This includes both personal and commercial use.
  4. The rights and obligations of this Agreement are personal rights granted to the Licensee only. The Licensee may not transfer or assign any of the rights or obligations granted under this Agreement to any other person or legal entity. The Licensee may not make available the Product for use by one or more third parties.

WHAT THIS LICENSE DOES NOT GRANT THE USER:

  1. You may not sell, bundle, share, sublicense, or otherwise transfer any original or modified version of the Product, or the right to use any Product, to any third party. This includes but is not limited to the original project files, video files, images, audio, or documentation included in the Product.
  2. You may not provide an End Product through render services that allow third parties or clients to customize based on their individual or company needs. This includes "on demand", "automated rendering", "create yourself" services, or similar. This includes but is not limited to services like Fiverr.com, Videohive.net, and Renderforest.com.
  3. You may not provide the End Product to any client or third party for less than the price of the Product, or provide customization services that are in any way competitive with Film Composite. Pricing services to provide the End Product to a client above the Product price does not grant the User any exemption.
  4. You may not bundle the Product or End Products with any other digital downloads or services. This includes but is not limited to bundling with software, tutorials, project files, templates, or free downloads.

OTHER RESTRICTIONS

  1. The name(s) of the Copyright Holder(s) or the Author(s) of the Product shall not be used to promote, endorse or advertise any Product, except to acknowledge the contribution(s) of the Vender and with their explicit written permission.
  2. Failure to comply with any of the terms under the License will be considered a material breach of this Agreement.
  3. The original purchase price paid by the Licensee will constitute the entire license fee and is the full consideration for this Agreement.

TERMINATION

The Agreement and all other services can be terminated immediately and for any reason by Film Composite (the "Vender"). If this happens, you must stop using the Product and any End Products immediately.

DISCLAIMER

The Product is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement of copyright, patent, trademark, or other right. In no event shall the copyright holder be liable for any claim, damages or other liability, including any general, special, indirect, incidental, legal, or consequential damages, whether in an action of contract, tort or otherwise, arising from, out of the use or inability to use the Product or from other dealings in the Product.

Film Composite does not offer any custom licenses or indemnification at this time.
